eSIM is a technology that allows you to activate a mobile plan without using a physical SIM card. It is convenient, secure and easy to use. But not all phones support eSIM. The list below is constantly expanding as more eSIM-compatible devices get released into the market. According to the latest update in 2024, the eSIM-compatible devices are as follows:

iPhones that support eSIM

eSIM is integrated into iPhone models starting with the XR. The iPhone XS and XS Max were the next to support eSIM after the iPhone XR. Then, in 2020, the SE 2 and iPhone 11 series welcomed eSIM.

The iPhone 12, 13, and 14 series have now improved upon it. Most recently, the iPhone 15 series was released with eSIM.

Note: Please note that the following devices DO NOT support eSIM:

  • iPhones with 2 physical SIM slots versions usually do not support eSIM. Please check your Setting > Cellular (Mobile Data) to make sure there is an option to “Add eSIM”.
  • All iPhones bought from China Mainland, Hong Kong and Macao do not support eSIM.

Samsung phones that support eSIM

Note:  Please note that the following Samsung devices do not support eSIM:

  • All Samsung S20 FE and S21 FE
  • All Samsung purchased from China, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan.
  • Galaxy S20/S21, Galaxy Z Flip 5G, Note 20 Ultra, Z Fold 2, Galaxy S21 5G, Galaxy S21+ 5G, Galaxy S21 Ultra 5G, S20, Galaxy Z Fold 2, Galaxy Z Fold 5 bought in the USA.
  • Most Samsung Galaxy devices purchased in South Korea do not support eSIMs 

Google Pixel phones that support eSIM

Please note that the following Google devices do not support eSIM:

  • Google Pixel 3 bought in Australia, Japan, Taiwan do not support eSIM, and those purchased with service from US or Canadian carriers other than Sprint and Google Fi do not have eSIM capability.
  • Google Pixel 3a bought in Japan and ASEAN countries and with Verizon service.

Huawei phones that support eSIM

  • Huawei P40
  • Huawei P40 Pro
  • Huawei Mate 40 Pro

The following Huawei phones do not have eSIM capability:

  •   Huawei P40 Pro+
  •   All Huawei devices purchased in China are not eSIM capable.

Oppo phones that support eSIM
